Calendars. They always get a lot of attention this time of year, and 2012 was exceptionally ripe for observation, thanks to the end of the Mayan's version. Warned as we were, Hurricane Sandy didn't exist when I planned this post back in September, the fifth in a series that spotlights our human desire for control, written to help kindhearted people cope with so much bad news, to help us regain faith in each other, hopefully thwarting greed in the process.
